NZ Government Policy

In 2006 the Government adopted the New Zealand Timber and Wood Products Procurement Policy (TWPP) available on-line. This policy was developed in order to address the issue of illegal logging and associated trade and to ensure that Government departments and enterprises will only procure legally sourced timber and woodproducts. It strongly recommends that purchasing preference be given to suppliers of sustainably managed and certified woodproducts.
