Green Star Rating - NZ Green Building Council

The New Zealand Green Building Council (www.nzgbc.org.nz) in partnership with the building and supplier industries, developed the Green Star performance programme.

A comprehensive, national, voluntary environmental rating scheme, that evaluates the attributes and product performance of New Zealand's buildings using a range of tool kits applicable to various building types and functions.

One of the key criteria specified in the Rating Tools in the Materials Category (Mat-6) is that certified woodproducts be used to gain environmental points accreditation.
